About Us
A Small Church with an Age-Old Message, meeting in the beautiful Goods Store in the heart of Belturbet.
Our Story
Belturbet Baptist Church is a small church in rural Co. Cavan, Ireland. We meet in the beautifully converted Railway Goods Store. A historic stone building that now has underfloor heating and feels warm and welcoming, especially on a grey Irish day.
We're a church family with a heart to see people find life in Jesus. That's what drives everything we do: our Sunday services, our Bible studies, our community life, and our welcome to newcomers.
We believe the Bible is God's word, and we try to make it central to everything. Our services are straightforward: singing, praying, Scripture reading, communion, and teaching from the Bible, with always time for tea and conversation. We're not flashy, but we are genuine.
What We're About
We want to be a church that is faithful to the Bible, warm in welcome, and active in our community. In all our programmes, we want to encourage genuine fellowship and a shared desire to grow in our faith.
Our doors are open to everyone. Whether you've been a Christian for decades, you're exploring faith for the first time, or you're just looking for a friendly community in Belturbet.
Part of Something Bigger
We're part of the Association of Baptist Churches in Ireland (ABCI). A family of churches across the island of Ireland who share a common commitment to the gospel and to supporting one another.
Being part of the ABCI means we're connected to a wider network of churches, resources, and mission efforts. We value this partnership and the encouragement it brings.
